Transcripts

• As of January 1, 2014, DOE is no longer able to provide transcripts and certificates. Transcripts must be requested online.
• Go to the GED Credentialing™ Website to order duplicate transcripts or official Virginia GED^® certificates (either paper or digital copies). Beginning September 3, 2024, the cost of a duplicate transcript or certificate will increase from $15 per document to $18 per document ordered (plus applicable shipping fees).
• New GED^® graduates will continue to receive an initial digital transcript and digital certificate free of charge; however, a $10 administrative fee (plus applicable shipping fees) will be charged for the initial printed physical certificate, if ordered.

After July 1, 1974:

• Go to the GED Credentialing™ Website to order duplicate transcripts or an official GED^® certificate issued from the District of Columbia (DC).

Before July 1, 1974:

• Contact the address below for information about your records. There is a $30 fee per transcript, payable by credit card, cashier’s check, or money order only, which will be returned to you if no records are found.

• Go to the GED Credentialing™ Website to order duplicate transcripts or official GED^® certificates. Note: Individuals who tested at a Federal Bureau of Prisons facility should not select Virginia as their testing location. GED^® records for these facilities fall under a different jurisdiction. Scroll down to “Other Locations” and select Federal Bureau of Prisons.
